SEND Information
At Coppice School, we are committed to ensuring that every pupil, regardless of need or starting point, is valued, supported and enabled to achieve their full potential. We believe that high-quality teaching, inclusive practice and strong partnerships with families are the foundation of successful outcomes for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Our approach is underpinned by the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and is centred on the principles of inclusion, participation and high aspirations. We work closely with pupils, parents, carers and external professionals to identify needs early, remove barriers to learning and provide appropriate support through a graduated approach of Assess, Plan, Do, Review.
At Coppice, we are ambitious for all learners. We strive to ensure that pupils with SEND can access a broad, balanced and aspirational curriculum, participate fully in school life and develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for adulthood. We recognise the importance of academic achievement, personal development, independence, wellbeing and successful transition into further education, employment and adult life.
