We seek an enthusiastic Science Technician to work in the Science Department. Ideally applicants should be experienced in school laboratory work, though in the case of a suitable candidate this will not be regarded as essential. However a general scientific understanding and awareness are essential, together with flexibility and a range of practical skills. The successful applicant will be well organised, with time management skills and self-confidence in dealing with young people. He/she will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to support the work of our excellent Science Department. Full training and support will be provided.
Applicants must have:
- Level 2 qualifications, A* – C, including Science
- A good Honours Degree or equivalent qualification
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively in a team
- Past experience of working in a school environment would be an asset but is not a pre-requisite
- You must have good time management skills, be well organised and competent.
This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
