Wednesday 17 June 2026, 4-5 pm (online)
Personal statements are an important aspect of the UCAS application process. Writing a personal statement is your chance to show your enthusiasm for studying a subject and give admissions tutors a sense of who you are as an individual.
To support with your applications, we will be running two online separate workshops for Year 12 students in June 2026. These sessions will cover how to structure and write your personal statement, including what to do about the changes to personal statements for 2026 entry. You will also receive guidance from current UCL students who have been through the application process recently to give your application the best chance to stand out.
The sessions are interactive, and we encourage you to engage with the presenters with an opportunity at the end to ask questions.
Eligibility
Personal Statement Workshops are open to students who are currently in Year 12 and are studying at a state school or college in the UK.
For our personal statement sessions, all eligible applicants who meet at least one of the shortlisting criteria specified in points 2 to 6 on the Who we work with webpage will be offered a place on this programme.
