Abigail Sanders – Head Student
I am truly proud and grateful to have been chosen as Head Student. It’s an incredible honour to be trusted with this responsibility, and I’m excited to give back to the school that has given me so many opportunities to grow.

Being Head Student means a lot to me because it allows me to represent the voices of others, support my peers, and help make positive changes within our school community. I’m looking forward to working with staff and students to build a welcoming, respectful, and encouraging environment for everyone.
I’m also excited to be a role model for younger students, to help lead by example, and to show that with effort, kindness, and teamwork, we can all make a difference. Thank you for giving me this opportunity – I’m ready to make the most of it.
Kent Weston – Head Student
I am immensely proud and honoured to be Head Student at Coppice. It signifies not only trust in my leadership capabilities, but also a recognition of my dedication and passion for our school community since joining in Year 7.
From the start of my school journey, I have always stepped up to opportunities and shared these with my peers to ensure everyone has a chance at anything they want to do. This is something that will be at the centre of my priorities as Head Student, fostering a school environment full of growth, development and success for everybody.
I’m also overjoyed to lead our younger students, helping them develop and grow their skills through our School Council and other leadership opportunities. I thank everybody who has supported me running for this position, and I am truly grateful for your confidence and belief in me.


Romeo Marks – Head Student
‘Success through leadership, unity and growth’ – through hard work and dedication I have been privileged with the honour of being Head Student. A unique opportunity to represent the voices of my school through a journey of mentorship, teamwork and communication throughout the school.
A reflection of trust in my leadership and recognition of my contributions during my time at Coppice. I have always embraced opportunities and encouraged others to do the same, as Head Student I aim to foster growth, development and success for everyone.
I am excited to serve as a role model and a guide to younger students through leadership opportunities, and I am grateful for the support and confidence shown towards me, a valued role as a chance to represent others, support my peers and contribute to positive change in school.
Isla Barnard – Post-16 Leader
Having actively participated in various leadership projects throughout my academic journey and the past year. As a Post-16 Leader, I firmly believe that effective leadership involves not only setting clear goals but also fostering a supportive and positive environment where every student feels valued and empowered.
I have demonstrated leadership in various ways, such as helping with events during Year 12. These experiences have helped me build confidence, communicate effective. I am looking forward to bringing these qualities to the leadership team and support initiatives that improve student experience and promote well-being.
Our final year at school is not just about academic success but about leaving a positive reputation for Sixth Form. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside my peers to create a positive and lasting impact on Sixth Form.


Poppy Metcalfe – Post-16 Leader
After frequently helping and participating in activities and projects throughout my school journey, I am keen to contribute and progress my skills in the up-coming year. As a member of the leadership team, I am committed to fostering a positive impact for the school community.
During my time at school, I have demonstrated guidance through various events that occurred in Year 12 as well as throughout the rest of my time at school. These events have helped me gain the experience and build my confidence, while also developing my communication skills, along with learning the importance of teamwork.
I am looking forward to using these skills when working with other members of the leadership team as well as teachers and other students in the school.
Eden Cooper – Head Student
Being a head student is an amazing privilege. Throughout my journey at Coppice, I’ve seen how much confidence can grow with the right support, and I want to use my experiences to help younger students feel the same. My aim is to inspire others to never give up, to keep a positive outlook on the future, and to believe in what they can achieve, even when challenges arise. I also want to ensure that every student gets all the opportunities and experiences that they deserve and feel supported in achieving this with the help of both their peers and teachers.


Keeyan Wasim – Head Student
I am proud to be a head student at coppice. I stand for everyone to not only have a voice, but for every voice to be truly heard. To me, being a head student isn’t just a title, it’s a responsibility. A responsibility to help improve life at Coppice and the further community, from new students who’ve joined the school this year to the staff who have dedicated decades for our school. Our voices, opinions and needs all matter as much as one another’s. Coppice has taught me resilience and the importance of my education which I will be forever grateful for.
Megan Edwards – Head Student
I feel incredibly honoured to have been given the role of Head Student here at Coppice. It is an immense privilege to have been granted the ability to foster unity within our community, whilst making change and voicing my opinions – something so important as a young girl within today’s society. I hold a prodigious amount of gratitude towards my position, and promise to always strive to ensuring that the school environment is enjoyable and accessible for all students. Throughout my time at Coppice, I have grown into a confident and driven individual, and look forward to supporting fellow students here to do the same.


Luciana Zangaro – Post-16 Leader
To be a part of the leadership team is a huge achievement which I am significantly proud, grateful, and excited for. The role of a leader allows me to express the ideas and values of my peers and other students in the school, I have the opportunity to make sure everyone’s ideas are shared and heard. This is exactly what I intend to do to
I believe that since the start of my adventure at coppice I have been down numerous amounts of paths which have all allowed me to develop new skills due to the support and opportunities given by the school. I know that being a part of the team will help me develop further with public speaking, presenting and confidence.
Klinton Chard – Post-16 Leader
Being part of the student leadership team has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It has given me the opportunity to represent the voices of my peers and contribute to positive changes within our school community. Through this role, I’ve learned the importance of teamwork, respect, and communication in achieving shared goals.
Since joining coppice, I’ve grown in confidence, stepped outside my comfort zone, and embraced opportunities I may not have taken otherwise. This experience has strengthened my decision-making skills and my ability to support others. I look forward to completing my A-Levels while continuing to make a positive difference to those around me.


Hannah Kelly-Smith – Post-16 Leader
Being given a role in student leadership in Coppice, is a great privilege. It allows me to help create an environment where everyone feels seen, whilst adding to the already established community of kind individuals.
I’m extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to work with students across the school to keep maintaining Coppice’s values, so that we leave a school where students can continue to thrive.
Coming into year 7, I was unsure of where my path would take me in school, but by constantly being pushed to accept challenges I have found a new, confident sense of self. Coppice encourages you to take on new challenges so that you can better your own skills, and doing this helped open my eyes to my potential. By being a part of the leadership team, I hope I can help others find their confidence in their abilities.
Sukhjosh Atwal – School Council Leader
I greatly appreciate the opportunity to affect the school in a significant way. It is a great way for me to improve my project management and event handling. I have much gratitude that I’m surrounded by people who strive to make the school better and who are willing to learn as well as contribute their own share of ideas and help me see things in different perspectives.
I hope to fulfil my role by sharing multi-cultural values, giving my support where possible, and pushing others so that their aspirations can be realised.


Aryn Lynch – School Council Leader
I am proud to have become a member of the School Council at Coppice. It means so much to me to be able to represent the school as a whole and take part in an experience that will help develop my skills and character. To me, being on the School Council is not just about participating but showing you care about the school as a whole and want to make changes that benefit everybody as a strong community.
Since joining Coppice in Year 9, I had the challenge of catching up on work I had missed, and the staff here supported me greatly. I hope to aid both them and my peers in any way possible to make every student feel welcomed and ensure they have a great future at Coppice.
Dylan Mistry – School Council Leader
I am deeply grateful for the rewarding opportunity to be a part of the leadership team. Since joining Coppice, I have faced many adversities. However, with guidance and support, I am proof that if you have a dream, remain punctual, stay dedicated and you believe and trust the journey – it will all work out.
It hasn’t always been easy, and I haven’t always won, but with the help of teachers and my peers I have become confident, embracing my potential.
I am excited to work with the team, further enhancing my teamwork and communication skills to tackle collaborative goals. I hope to help more students pave their unique path to their individual success. I feel truly blessed to help inspire others to be the best version of themselves as I strive too every day.
