CoachBright Mentoring Programme in Partnership with the University of Wolverhampton

Fifteen Year 12 students recently took part in the CoachBright mentoring programme, supporting fifteen Year 10 students in either Science or Mathematics. Delivered over six weeks and run by CoachBright in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, the programme aimed to enhance academic confidence, develop study skills, and inspire future aspirations.

The programme culminated in a special visit to the University of Wolverhampton, where students participated in two engaging workshops: Raising Aspirations and University Life. Students also enjoyed a guided tour of the campus and celebrated their achievements during a graduation ceremony.

Throughout the six-week programme, all students demonstrated exceptional commitment, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Strong relationships were formed between the mentors and mentees, creating a supportive environment that encouraged both academic and personal growth.

CoachBright praised the contribution of our Year 12 mentors, commenting:

“I have witnessed remarkable growth in both the coaches and coachees alike. The Year 12 coaches brought the high energy and enthusiasm needed for the programme to succeed, and it was clear they had a genuine passion for supporting their coachees and helping them grow.

Throughout the programme, I observed excellent examples of patience, empathy and teamwork from the coaches, who adapted their teaching styles and resources to support the individual needs of their coachees.

It has been wonderful to see the cohort build such strong friendships and, hopefully, a network of support that extends beyond the programme.”

We are incredibly proud of all the students involved and grateful to CoachBright and the University of Wolverhampton for providing such a valuable and inspiring opportunity.
