Up for Debate

Are you an argumentative person? Can’t let anything go? Sick and tired of shouting at the washing machine?

Well, Up For Debate is the club for you, where you’ll be debating on key social, political and economic issues with like-minded and equally passionate students. In groups, you research, prepare and present your ideas while learning how to destabilise an opposition argument, win the approval of an audience and dominate debates in style. Perfect for the next pocket money referendum at home. There are also opportunities to debate your friends as well as students from other schools and even enter national competitions! The club is run by Mr Lewis and is at C24 every Tuesday after-school.
